Crippled But Happy

CRIPPLED BUT HAPPY.

Every morning on my way to work, I see this ''little man'' begging for alms, he wears the same cloth everyday and always on the same spot. Most times I see him holding cash in smaller denominations, though sometimes plenty but other times few. Bus conductors and road side hawkers come to give or ask him to change their money and he will gladly do that.
They call him 'Agba' by name and all the ladies around tease him that they will marry him provided he can make more money. I have once heard him say he has a fiancée who is the daughter of a Governor...lol. Agba doesn't have a shelter,he sleeps under the bridge when night comes, when it shines and when it rains. He wakes up like every average Lagosians every morning to source for food and money.
However, regardless of his badly crippled state,he has never looked sad,he makes people laugh even those of us on the queue for a BRT bus to CMS.unknown to him,so many looked at him and try to forget their problems for a moment even if it doesn't take their problems away.I was dazed the day I saw him give a blind woman alms and I cant help but stop to think in my mind that what sort of a human being is this guy;who regardless of his precarious situation could still extend his alms to another even though he expects to be blessed too through this kind gestures.
Seeing this guy for the past two months doing all these stuffs has taught me great lessons about life and life's situations that its not until you have in great volumes before you can give,it is not until you have all you desire in this life before you can be happy.Irrespective of what you do,what you eat, what you wear and what you experience daily;Happiness should not be determined by what we feel or think. It is an effort to make the determination in our hearts that ''whatever we are going through in life,we owe ourselves the responsibility to be happy''.
Worrying has never solved anything in this life but instead makes situation worse by affecting your health. But instead of brooding over the situation just take up strength and face the challenges, have a positive mindset that you will make it and be happy.we all make mistakes because there is no perfect being but I am challenging you today to forgive yourself of those mistakes and live your life like it never happened.we only have one life,so lets LIVE HAPPY.
